Students in the other sciences should see their thesis advisors. Your Honors Thesis demonstrates your aptitude for sustained effort and multidimensional problem solving, which increases your competitiveness both on the job market and for graduate school.
Are you having trouble writing those first few pages of your chapter? Students should write the first draft of the thesis during the first semester of the senior year and the final version in the second semester of the senior year.
Practical advice These are only suggestions — in talking with your research advisor and lab members, you may come up with a different approach! The hard copy of your thesis, along with a signed Thesis Approval formmust be submitted to the Honors Program no later than the last day of classes of the semester in which you will graduate.
The student should meet with each thesis advisors on a regular basis at least once every two weeks, sometimes once a week, depending upon the stage of thesis development from the time they agree on a thesis topic until the work is complete.
